Lanier Middle has always been one of the top 3 middle schools raising money for Relay for Life. Last year we raised over $35,000. For those who are not familiar with Relay for Life, it is part of the American Cancer Society. We raise money for research for all types of cancer.
Gwinnett County has the largest Relay in the world, and raises the most money. Last year, it was over 2 million dollars. With our school size having been reduced, our goal this year is to raise $10,000.00. With YOUR help we can do it! Please visit our Relay for Life webpage located on the Lanier website. We have a lot of events planned.
We also invite you to checkout the official website, gwinnettrelayforlife.org for more information about the Relay, and if you are a survivor, we welcome you to join our team. Relay is being held on Friday, May 7, 2010.
